Privacy and cookies

This policy explains what personal data Warm Home Numbers collects, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). The site is operated by Tomás, the editor of Warm Home Numbers, who is responsible for your data. You can contact us through our contact form.

What we collect

  • Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we receive what you type: your message, the page it is about, and your name and email address if you give them. We use this only to read and reply to your message, and we keep it for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering messages and correcting our content.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider, Hostinger, records technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure the website. These logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to identify you.
  • Calculators. Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us.

Cookies

At the moment this website does not set any cookies of its own and does not use analytics or advertising cookies.

We plan to show adverts served by Google AdSense. When we do, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and similar technologies to show ads and measure them, including ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Before that happens, we will add a consent message, approved for use in the UK, so you can accept or refuse non-essential cookies, and we will update this page. You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and manage personalised ads in Google’s ad settings or at Your Online Choices.

Who we share data with

We don’t sell personal data. Our hosting provider processes data on our behalf to run the website. If advertising is added, Google will process data as described above, subject to your consent.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it and to restrict it. Contact us through the contact form. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We will update this page when we change how we handle data, and show the date of the latest version at the top.
